I had hoped to run between 5:15 and 5:20 pace but that was before it snowed.  After seeing 1/2 inch of snow on the ground when I woke up I considered not going hard at all but decided I would just give it my best effort and not worry about times.  The second mile of both sets had 4 sharp turns and I almost had to come to a complete stop to make sure I didn't go down.  The other miles were straighter, but I was spinning my wheels pretty good.  So while the times weren't even close to what I wanted to run, I felt that the effort was good.

My knee was pretty sore right after, but I worked on my i.t. band and it seems to be feeling better.  It is something I'll need to watch.

Stay healthy and stay on that IT band. It can creep up on you if you ignore it! Ready to have some fun in St George? You are looking crazy fit!

Dave,

I am very aware these days of any abnormal pains because I know how quickly injuries can surface if you don't pay special attention to those kinds of pains. I also understand that sometimes there is nothing you can do about them. I am excited to run St. George. I am super impressed that you have been able to maintain your fitness levels through your injury. Way to stay motivated while cross training!

Excellent week and excellent finish to the week with this long run. You are going to turn some heads at St George Half!

Thanks Steve. Man you need to contact Fila after the race and see if you can get some shoes from them since you rep them so well with your sick workouts and soon to be sick races!
