11 miles with Ogden crew.  I started from 21st street pond and ran east for a mile before meeting up with the rest of the group.  They started at Dave's house.  This was a hard run for me because I am so out of shape.  I was not very smart and tried to go with Riley when he picked it up.  I fell off pretty badly.  AP:  6:38.

Swimming. 25 laps (1,250 yards). This is just my third time in my life swimming laps. I feel like I have come a long ways since the first time doing it just a week ago. I'm starting to figure out the breathing rhythms and things. I'm starting to really enjoy this form of exercise.

You are brave. It took me about two months of swimming 3 times a week to figure out the breathing thing. I would get out of a pool so dizzy that I would almost tip over. Were you a bit injured this winter? Sorry I haven't stayed in touch.

Hey Fritz! I haven't had any major injuries lately, I just got tired of constantly being on the brink of injury and decided I wanted to try something new. I'm thinking of possibly trying a couple of triathlons in the late summer, early fall. I still have a long ways to go though with the swimming and the biking for that matter!

If you go back and look at my blog for last summer you'll see a lot more detail. I haven't been running much and certainly not at all competitively this summer so I haven't had any reason to post details.

You had a terrific sophomore year. It's great to see a Weber High runner do so well. I hope that you go on to have a great career. I'll be following you.

Talon I would love to see Steve's records go down at Weber High. But you have to remember Steve was the man, and still is. Also Steve was trained by WEBER STATE'S coach Paul Pilkington in highschool. Just an FYI.

I noticed this thread and felt that I needed to put in my thoughts and hopefully clear some things up. As a teammate and good friend of Talon, I can assure you that he is sarcastic and filled with banter about 90% of the time. He may come off cocky sometimes but please note that he does not mean it, and it is all in humor. He is in fact quite a kind and caring guy. He trains 110% every day and is the hardest worker I know, I think he deserves all the success he is getting. We still look up to you guys at Weber High and you are all considered legends. I hope that this comment does not cause any problems and is not offensive. Again, I just felt that I needed to comment.
